A few years ago I was in Ubud, Bali with Anna, my wife, and visited the Monkey Forest during one of the many Balinese sacred ceremonies. The location, the warmth and sincerity of the people, and the joyful monkey feeding ceremony got us to thinking that it would be great to open a café in our home town of Lüneburg, Germany that had this mix of warmth, colour, good food and drink and joy.
Well, the pandemic put a stop to us opening a café in any physical location in the near future but the idea was still present and finally started to express itself as as an online café selling our favourite coffee and tea blends, products that we have carefully selected or gathered up in our travels and the same mix of warmth, colour, good food and drink, interesting products and unusual items and, of course, the joy that we imagined we would create in a physical location. So here we are – your Monkey Forest café in the cloud!
